THE ST. JOHN'S BUILDINGS
The buildings at St. Johns are all original wood-and-iron structures. The oldest church building was built on site while the current church building and hall were dismantled in other areas and reassembled in the church grounds.
The church yard also holds an old grave yard where some of the pioneers of this area are buried. The grave yard attracts a constant stream of visitors interested in the history of the area as well as those looking for the final resting place of their ancestors.

The building in the foreground is a national monument and is the original church. The National Monuments Council plaque recognizing it's status can be seen on the exterior wall of the entrance porch.
